Rocky Mountain Conference Retreat
When - Friday, 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, 3:00 p.m.
Where - Buckhorn Methodist Church Camp
Cost - $30 (Scholarships available)
Come join college students from across the Rocky Mountain region for fellowship, worship, and fun.
This year, we will be blessed with the musical talents of Heatherlyn. Heatherlyn and her husband Jason will be active participants in the retreat and also provide a musical atmosphere to help us contemplate, ponder, and rejoice. We are also blessed to have our guest speaker, Retired Bishop Bruce Blake. A brief overview of the guest speaker is provided by his friend David :
Family man (spouse and 3 grown sons); attended Friends University in Wichita, KS and Drew Seminary in Madison, N.J., graduating from both with academic honors; pastor of several local churches in Kansas; former President of Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas; Program Director for the Kansas West Conference; served as Bishop in the North Texas Conference and Oklahoma/Indian Conferences; advocate for human rights and equality in relationships; avid sports fan.
Bruce was also a "key note" speaker at General Conference, besides being asked to moderate the assemblies' discussion on sensitive and controversial issues.
